DON'T PATRONISE BALLY PHOTO AT ALL!!! they have two outlets, one at funan, another at sim lim. they are a chop shop. they do their best to cheat your money. and im not joking. they have cheated MANY people. there is a thread on clubsnap about bally photo. go take a look, im not sure where.

Just purchased a 70-200 f2.8 IS, paid JPY 159,000 after tax rebate (direct deduction from purchase price) and base on airport Singapore exchange rate of 156.8, i only paid S$2493.12 with international warranty;p
As for 5D mk2, JPY 215,300 is before tax rebate. Saw another shop selling with 24-105 kit @ JPY 298,000 before tax rebate. And yes, its a "grey set" without international warranty. Do note that prices listed in shops at Akihabara can be negotiated, not fixed price.

Canon just adjusted DSLR price today and convert to S$ 5D2 price around S$3460 but not sure when price c be adjusted in Sin, last wk John quoted around S$3800
not really some shop like SLR revo; orient photo etc...selling lowest than that..3750 or ++ is exp i think...what the use of the kit box???i prefer original box...

however is not easy to find the buyer..and some more..how much i can sell the lens...i dun think it will cover 10% of my body price
....bcoz ms color offer me 5150 after gst for kit set and 3750 for the body only...
for example: i can sell the highest price for the lens 1400, so my body price would be 3750...thats the same price!!..
anyway i m just wait until end this month..see the price will drop or not..then just grab it next month...
and also i already found how to differentiate between gray set or not..which is we can see from the warranty card it self..it written CANON SINGAPORE PTE LTD...

You can get people interested in getting the lens @ a cheaper price follow you to buy your Kit so long as they dont mind having a Kit set 24-105 thats what i did so ui managed to saved quite a lot on the body while selling the lens off for $1500.
