waa like that v dangerous man. Dont know when will the mirror drop?
he said he wanted to shoot, took out cam and was all black. he thought forgot remove lens cap then realise lens not cap. then remove lens realise mirror dropped out...cant imagine you have a L lens then mirror drop hit against the rear element and scratched it.
Personally i don't think machine gunning for fireworks is considered mishandling. Equipment shouldn't be treated with kid gloves. Supposedly the glue holding the mirror doesn't hold too well under humid & hot conditions.
Actually I am puzzled too.. why this never happen for 30D or 400D?? :dunno:
no la...this is not math la...Interesting analogy.. if compare this way.. 5D vs 1Dmk3 will be similar to 30D vs 5D
maybe the 5D mirror is biggerActually I am puzzled too.. why this never happen for 30D or 400D?? :dunno:
this is the worst situation...rear element is not cheap to replace...he said he wanted to shoot, took out cam and was all black. he thought forgot remove lens cap then realise lens not cap. then remove lens realise mirror dropped out...cant imagine you have a L lens then mirror drop hit against the rear element and scratched it.
maybe the 5D mirror is bigger
i guess the cost of the LCD and CMOS have already make up to 85% of the selling price...Has been raised a lot of times. How would you explain the lack of this anomaly in ALL the EOS film bodies?
i guess the cost of the LCD and CMOS have already make up to 85% of the selling price...
let compare 1dmk2 and 20D both r 8 mega pixel but why their price r 3 time different? If u r in manufacture line then u know what is the price diff between 1.3 CF vs 1.6 CF...just like diamond in carat...same grade 0.5 carat vs 1 carat, their price diff can be up to 5 times more...
So maybe Canon try to cut cost to lower down the price for those FF fan...by mean of quailty? Who know?
ha....hopefully this glue on mirror problem is solved on the later batches *cross fingers*, i just joined the 5D club with a 2mth old grey set![]()
yes try not to use 3fps...ha....hopefully this glue on mirror problem is solved on the later batches *cross fingers*, i just joined the 5D club with a 2mth old grey set![]()
at least u guys dare to take the risk...haha.. I am sure it does (consoling myself).. cos mine is only 3 weeks old :bsmilie:
it's time to ask Canon to wake up their QA/QC department liao...Wa so scary mirror drop plus rear element kana scratch, not to count the embarassment cause when your friend saw your Expensive Big Canon fail you in such a manner...how to explain?? Ummm .... Tell them "Its like that want la, Canon knows it, the whole Singapore also knows it as they are all CS member, very common problem la :bsmilie: Come on lets continue shooting, I have my Ixus with me"
I am thinking of upgrading to 5D but now....Scary~:sweat::sweat:
