The Sanyo is also giving me headaches. Some how I have a feeling that these batteries need to be used very often in order to maintain its capacity.

I've also got some Sanyo 2700 for a short period of time and they too were really bad.
Since then I've been using GP Recyko and Immedion.
in my case, the GP battteries outperform Immedion and they are cheaper too so I'm keeping a few sets.

My very old Sanyo 2700 can last more than 400+ shots. Now I use CPE-4 I can shoot like forever with 12 batteries. easilly over 2000+ flash shots

pardon my ignorance...
what is a 'CPE-4' ??? :dunno:

CPE-4 is battery pack for the flash, sigh.. i bought 2 set sanyo 2700 mAh for my flash... ****!

Basically it depends on the charger that you used.
My 2 years old Sanyo can only give me like 100+ shots till i get Maha charger and managed to revive it back to old condition of 500+ shots.
I'm amazed by the investment though it's a little heart pain to spend that much on a charger but well worth it.
If you are looking to purchase 2 charger to charge up to 8, Maha cost slightly more. Go check out on it.

All it takes is one defective battery in the set of 4 to reduce the power availability. BTW, dun drop rechargeables, was told by GP people, it will damage the parts inside and kill the battery.

Anyone use the batteries while they are still piping hot after charging? Is there any solid information? I leave them aside to cool before putting them into battery pouch.

Never heard of.

But I did use them when they're hot, never experience piping hot though.

Piping hot is when after prolonged multi-bursts and they can be really hot.

Agree. Any idea how to test which 1 of the 4 is defective? I've only tried measuring the voltage but not sure if thats correct.

hey guys,

I just got my 580EXII not long ago.
Any better indication on the battery life, as in maybe how long more before I need to change batteries?

Right now the only indication was that it takes longer and longer to refresh.
Is there like a better way?

Anyone?

:dunno:

Thanks in advance
