The problem with this lens is that the person behind the camera may become too obsess with the wide open bokeh, that his photos becomes "arrogant".Hi Guys,
Please share your samples with this lens...
I just received a brand new... The lens is beautiful indeed! I tried on the 20D and WOW
The Bokeh and sharpness is outstanding compared to Nikon 1.4 version
I will upload some later on... meanwhile please share your samples and experiences with this lens
Oh by the way, I paid $310 including shipment from Canada

I catch no ball what you're trying to say. :what:
Huh, What is wrong with wide open bokeh?
This lens is versatile enough that one doesn't always have to always shoot wide open.
Anyway the large maximum aperture does offer unique photo opportunities of subject isolation using narrow dof.
That's a good price considering it's not in stock in most local shops
I loved mine when I had it:

It's still one of my favorite photos even after I got all those Limiteds.
IIRC $310 was the local price for this lens^^; Think I got mine from JB for S$297 then with international warranty.
Some SBG doggie shots with FA 50mm f1.4

Ha. What I mean is the photographer may be too obsess with the bokeh (e.g keep shooting at f1.4/2.0) and neglect the other aspects of photography. i.e. he may think it's a nice pic becos of the bokeh. Chinese it's called "做作". btw, I also own the lens.:bsmilie: I also catch no ball^^; Anyway FA 50mm f1.4 tends to be sharp and gives nice bokeh at f2^^

It's a nice lens, just a little too tight in enclosed areas. i slightly prefer my DA40 over it since I find the MTF below 2.8 too soft. Yeah, WA is very useful, especially in travel photos. I almost exclusively used 17mm on my sigma. Luckily I brought it along.oh, you meant that..
aiya, photography got a lot of things can be arrogant.. got people happily post photos that they claim they handhold for 2 seconds, first try work, and it is not just one photo, but many.. even with SR 2 seconds also jialat already, confirm need to brace.. so you say is it possible?
anyways, i love the 50mm, i think it's a great lens and quite a comfortable focal length to work with..
but of course, nothing beats the 10-20 for me.. :bsmilie:
