Hi, i'm a very new user of DSLR camera and got my 1st DSLR canon 50D last tuesday. Been exploring the camera for about a week and there is some question which some may find it silly but hopefully someone can assist to answer no matter how 'green' the question may be. Here goes my question, how do you focus on a subject while mounting the cam on a tripod ? I know we do a focus by half pressing the shutter release button & to prevent camera shake (especially nite scene) we may set it to timer and let it capture the subject. While this is being done, may i know the focus will be lock after setting it to timer ?
If you set to timer first, it should be OK. Set to timer, aim + half press to focus then fully press the shutter button gently.
