50D or D300

alamak.. are we talking abt the quality of the pix or are we juz slapping nos??

i'm merely suggesting a decent 3rd party alternative for both canon n nikon. far more productive to just get that instead of fussing over which system has better choice of UWA, blah blah blah.

quality wise, largely up to the photog, isn't it? unless we are talking about defective equipment here. tokina seems to be decent from online reviews, including CS users' feedback so i shall assume someone wondering whether to get canon or nikon will NOT be "hampered" by the lens.

if one is damn experienced pro who can bring the best out of canon/nikon's high end lenses, then diff story, but such a person would be answering questions instead of asking them

hey man i used to be a canon user[6hour ago].I have just change my 400d canon system to the d300 nikon system.I have totally no regrets.Nikon stuff can cheaper compare to canon bro.haha i should seriously consider.The 50d have slower fps then 40d anyway.

May I ask what are u shooting to warrant a negative comment on the slower fps 50D as compared to 40D? In case u dun know, canon lens can be cheaper than nikon.

After buying D300, u only have a 50mmf1.8 to shoot with it?

Stick to the auto/scenes mode in 400D b4 moving up. No auto/scenes mode in D300 u know. :bsmilie: And work on your composition. Carry a D300 doesn't mean you are a good photographer.
