PC fair is coming in 2 weeks time....do you all think that we can get a better deal from there? Normally PC fair can get more free gifts (Ext HDD, DryBox, Extra Batt, or PWP another lens)..........thinking to get my 500D as well....wonder if we can pay by 0% installment during PC fair?

Everytime I wanted to change camera, I would wait for the PC show. But the Canon booth have to sell at Recommended Retail Price RRP, so they throw in lots of free gift. IF you have need for the free gift, I guess it could be a fair deal. If not, it is always cheaper to buy from the list of reputable shops. Just give a few shops a call and they are more than willing to give you a quote over the phone. So this time round, I didn't bother to wait for the PC show and bought my 500D b4 the show :bsmilie:

I have just called harvey norman 2 days ago, by 0% installment is $1399. I didnt know there is that promo, they didnt tell me on the phone so I guess $100 more. I think most likely PC no 0%. there will be interest.

like Alan Photo there is 6%, MS has 3%, Audio House 2-5% admin charge for installment(depending on months 6, 12 etc), John 316 has about 4% (They quote me $1386).

I have called everywhere only Best Denki and Harvey Norman has 0% installment.

1399 is with extra 8gb, screen protector, tripod, and compatible battery.
quite a good deal if going for their installment scheme.

Most of the PC show Canon booth now are run by big outlet like Harvey Norman etc. Hence they have to sell at RRP with lots of free gift. A few years back when I bought my Canon G3(now is G10 already :bsmilie, the booth was ran by MS Colour :thumbsup:
