63-point iFCL metering

in future updates
these are the new features for the 550D
but the above mentioned features are mostly software-based

If they add all those things in our wishlist into the firmware update, it will only make their new 550D less appealing. So it is unlikely they will make further firmware upgrade.

that's what happened to 450D if i remembered it correctly

they would eventually i think, when the 500D becomes the ‘budget’ model, they would have to update it so they can advertise new features to make it more competitive to other company’s offerings.

But i won’t hold my breathe for it anytime soon. Would love to be proven wrong thou.
