5 MP camera shopping help needed..

coolpix 5000 or F707 or Dimage 7??????

really considering to upgrade my 1998 coolpix 900.

I did a rundown a-b-c comparison at dpreview.... I even compared the resolution chart comparison.. only that Minolta dun have... oh well... comments people?

I'm not sure about these models so just give my 2 penny worth...
Things i also took note when getting my DC were:
-wad type of battery? some prefer AA some prefer proprietrary...
-type of media? eg. if you have other memory stick devices, can consider sony...
-wad do you wan to take with? for me, i like macro shots so i look for one with the least macro distance.
-weight and size?
-i like the remote control too...

and of course the usual technicalities etc...
anyway again... just my 2 cents ...

battery doesn't matter to me.
memory stick or CF doesn't matter to me.
size and weight is of minimal issue.
I want a camera that captures the moment as true to life as possible.
Macro is important too... although the macro distance is the furthest for minolta, I got a feeling the tele-macro function will still give the same amount of magnification as the other 2.
hmm.. it's still anybody's game....

i would prefer coolpix with swivel lens, better easier handling...... good grip....

not sure about sony and dimage.......

wait for the DiMage 7i to come... supposed to be this month or next. the features are identical to the dimage 7, but new and improved handling and features. :thumbsup:
