Got a 1gb Kingston Ultimate(133x) for $25.90(Best Bargain) and 1gb Sandisk Extreme III for $47.80(Active Foto). Also intend to get the Transcend 2Gb 266x ($64 @Memory World) but out of stock, maybe next time.:devil:

I did a burst of 10 frames. I calculate write speed by this => Total Mb/(time of 1st file - time of last file).

This what I get -> Kingston Ultimate = 5.3mb/sec
Extreme III = 10.3mb/sec

Notice the Sandisk Extreme III allows a faster frame write after my cam memory buffer fills up on the fifth frame compare to the Kingston.

Anyway both quite fast for me.

Thanks for your information, went to get one at $117. :bsmilie: price are getting cheaper this days for cf cards... think to due to extreme four have came out... Wait for a while if you'r not in e rush to get. :bsmilie:

True all right, but I need to go down to get some other stuff as well, so might as well get it there too.

The last I heard, the card was going at 18X, but am wondering if this is due to a drop in prices...
