Ah,thankfully marketing tactics decreed that the specs wont be better than older double digit series',if not i gonna dump my 30D for the 450D:sweat:

dump lor, i also downgraded from 1D series to 40D, then going to downgrade again to 450D, then film. :bsmilie:

Same res still? I serously do not like the 40D's screen too big already and the colours look very wierd so cant judge how good the WB was... Much prefer the 5D/30D 2.5 inch ones..

This camera is obviously not targeted at current 400D users to upgrade. The different memory card, battery and battery grip speaks volumes.

IMHO, its really for those who are pissed with their D40/x to upgrade. The switch from CF to SD could not have been less subtle.

Still waiting for the images from this camera. Features are one thing, performance is another.

But. Bigger grip! Bigger viewfinder! ISO button! ISO info in Viewfinder! SPOT METERING!

Gah. Entry level cam with spot metering. That made me pissed. Still, no point upgrading from one entry-level to another entry-level.

Oh and, I rather have a higher res screen than a bigger screen with the same number of pixels. Kit has a very good point also.

good for marketing strategy, but unfortunately , not so good for canon users, especially since they obviously have the technology (s5 is, s3 is).

i think someone from somewhere try before

fit in-body + is lens together
