It is a concept phone. 10 were made. For influencers to try out.
Not for mass production. At this price not meaningful, although many Leica owners can afford if they wish to buy
Made to show that it can be done.
There is a grave danger of not fixing the M mount adapter securely on the phone and then dropping the very expensive Leica M lens.
Not viable because better and cheaper alternatives already existed long before this.
For example a Sony FULL FRAME body with a Techart (AF) adapter.
Or any Sony FULL FRAME body such as A7R3 or A7R4 or A7R5 or A9Mk2 or A1.
If don't want AF then dont use the Techart. Use a simple Leica M to Sony E adapter.
You are not supposed to use HEAVY and big lenses with the Techart adapter.
Or just get a Leica M11 ( FULL FRAME ). No adapter required.
The demonstration with a M 35 F1.4 Summilux was intended to add a glamour factor.
But it gave the wrong impression of a clumsy chunk.
There are smaller and lighter Leica M wide angle lenses. E.g. 35mm Summicron.
Or 3rd party made. For example Voigtlander 21mm f4.0 Color Skopar Pancake Lens - Leica M Mount.
Or Voigtlander 35mm f/2.5 Color Skopar PC-II Lens - Leica M Mount.
