40mm fustration

I'm sure as some of the RF users know, many classic fantastic lens from Canon and Nikon use 40mm filters which are almost impossible to find in Singapore.

Any kind user knows where I can find filters/caps for this frustrating lens size?

Alternatively, any one selling or know where I can get the step-up ring?

Be patient and these pop up locally or on ebay from time to time. All of us gone through the same agony! Finding 40mm UV filter is still possible. Try looking for 40mm UV/IR filter!!! I paid a dear sum for mine last time.

Anyway, ask around and you may find someone willing to let go. Search ebay diligently. I've seen them come out from time to time.

You can also try 40-40.5 step up ring. I believe Camera workshop may have that. Philip Tay at Decamera also got that.

You can get 40.5 mm front cap which should fit on the Canon.

Its the same seller with 3 pieces. They usually dont come easy nor cheap. Only ZoomP was lucky to get a whole set cheap! hahaha!

I think I may just end up the route of using a 40-40.5mm step-up. Makes it easier. :-(
