seriously, drop isit? i still called MS colour yest to enquire abt the 40D.. i was told $1.8k+. 1 day makes so much diff..

Singapore prices had always been significantly higher than the US, HK counterparts. HK street price is SGD$1.5k odd if I'm not wrong. A further reduction to something like $1399 is very possible.

Which is why I've stopped buying first hand from local shops. Screw warranty.

Yes the prices have gone down for 40D, check amazon japan website
for Body only the price is about 1315 S$

Don't know why canon is doing that... either 40d is not selling as well as they planned and they have too much stock or something near 40d's original price point is about to be launched...
