3rd party BP511

If anyone got ripped off, it was me.

I paid $45 for the 1200Mhz BP-511 at the shop next to AP. I thought that I was paying for the 1800Mhz ones.

Really felt super ripped off 20 minutes after I had gotten it.

me got at $35 for the BP511 third party...1200 also i think....but find it kind of weak very fast....anyone felt that also....use for a while only the battery goes flat...or maybe mine is spolit liao..

I guess for me, I would have to wait for some time before I really notice some difference in the way the battery operates.

Shoot, I really want to get the 1800Mhz one. I guess I just went to the wrong shop

Hi! When did you get the 1200mHa ones? Hope it wasn't recently after you read this post! The 1800 ones clearly stated on the box, purple box (but there may be other brands).

When I went to SLS, I originally had intended to check out the 1800Mhz ones and that was after I had read this thread. But the bummer thing that I did was that I didn't check the box properly. So thinking that I got the 1800Mhz ones, I made my purchase. The other thing is that the box that came with the batteries were yellow in colour.

I got them yesterday evening.

AH!!!! That's the pits!! The yellow ones should be the same as the ones which AP is selling. I hate those shops at SLS, esp the ones on the first 2 floors.

Hi all, I know alot of people have been interested in the 1800 battery packs and I've not been able to pinpoint the shop. Anyway, a fellow Clubsnapper just came back and feedback the following.

"Its the one at the corner of the shopping centre...selling lots of video cams one...can't remember its exact name but its "...... Video Store" if I'm not mistaken. Balck lettering on yellow background"

for those who are getting the 1200ma at AP, you can and you should try to bargain to $28.

I went to SLS in last Saturday. The "...... Video Store" quote me S$65 for the 1800mAh battery! It's too expensive comparing to S$35/per battery. And after looking around in other shops and came back, I asked another clerk in the shop about the 1800mAh battery. He said they don't have this type battery.

I'm always confused by these SLS shop clerks!;(

If any one bought or will buy a pairs of 1800mAh battery at S$70, I'd like to buy one from him.

Sheesh!!! It's atrocious!!! Ya, the clerk initially asked me for $55 for one. Only after offering to buy too, I offered my price.

If you're interested, I could sell them to you after I'm back from Nepal, I'm sure I would have charged them less than 5 times from the time I bought them, including my trial!
