3rd attempt (Why no one comment?)

HAha, no ppl reply on some of my thread too. :(

I think this series is nice, good composition and the color works well for the background.

Quick question,

Im new and wonder for those model shooting which we pay to the organizer, do the models pose by themselves or what? Just curious. Cause i would like join the shoot one day, but no courage.

Some organisers provide studio lights and triggers for each camera.
Some models are quite good at posing and need no instructions at all (eg Elaine Yuki), but you can suggest poses to the model.
I only had my first model shoot just over a week ago and no regrets :)

No need courage one. Just need money to pay for the shoot.

I like the mood that these photos bring... watch where you cut in #6 though. Otherwise, nice. :)

There's nothing to worry about ... pay, shoot and have fun. ;)

Thanks all for the reply. But from those shots posted by people, they all look nicely done.

Will ask my friend along and hopefully can have fun laughing at our end results. Haha~~

Hi Almost! just saw this thread... and since you asked "why no one comment"... i will also make an exception (I personally hardly comment on threads or give any detailed suggestions... since i am also newbie compared to the seasoned and more professional CSers here)... here comes my 2 cents based on my own thoughts about the pics:

Overall: Nice and consistent pp to convey similar mood and color tone across the whole set... love it, the moody feeling is great.

#1: I will crop either tighter or looser to either allow more intense stare in to the space (if tighter) or make it more spacious for a stronger sense of sight extension... (one thing I am not sure if it is the lens, just find the bokeh at the top right corner a little square-ish, it could be me... my eyesight is bad, ha ha)

#2: could it be the focusing? looks a little too soft to me... and I don't know, but the cropping of the pic that cuts out part of the backside makes it a little imcomplete, again it could be my personal bias only... the angle of the shoot that made model's eyesight looking almost straight down to her feet if tilt abit may make the pic look abit more "stable".

#3: i like the angle... i imagine it must be hard for you while taking this shot... nice!

#4: nice... but her right hand coming out behind her feet looks a little strange to me.

#5: focus abit soft... and maybe a little over-posed with this attire...

#6: i would perhaps allow more space on ther right and less on the left too enhance the turning her head back and glance type of feeling

#7: this is standard pose liao... ha ha... but focus a bit soft... and again her right hand's appearing behind her left shoe abit strange to me

#8: nice... only thing is her hair if not blocking the light to her right eye might look better

#9: i would perhaps squat to shoot rather than shoot this standing there, and may leave more room to the right, this could create more space for imagination of the model walking towards the right...

#10: a slightly lower position may look better...

#11: i would crop tighter at the top of her hair part... now very big and round... ha ha

ok... that's my 2 cents worth... time to sleep! Happy shooting!

Cheers,
Barry

seems abit emo to me..

i think mild PP would be helpful, esp on #4, where the legs have unsightly marks(maybe shadows?)

emptyform > Thanks for the patient to write lengthy comments,
all words were read and noted, thank you.
and yes i lied on floor for that one.. ^^
Chrissp > Thank you, noted
TroyP > elaine-yuki, very easy to see her everywhere.. so famous now...
Zahne > now i realise comments also no good.. haha

No need courage one. Just need money to pay for the shoot.

i saw this once in one of the thread in clubsnap,
let me share with u this time.. :embrass:
" Maximized the limit of what you have "
u may have the potential to even shoot better than those expensive lens.

I quite like the series except #5, the pose seems abit.... weird? Btw what does the jap characters mean?

They means: long leg beauty; moody sky
haha #5 is weird for sure, but that what i wanted actually...:embrass:

But the pictures didn't make the legs stand out.. in fact, the legs looks quite bad..

And there are many blown highlights.. especially on the legs..

i purposely wanted the leg to be pointing inwards.. having the 内八 position:(
it came out with a different feeling ya..
it will look even nicer if a girl jumping up with 内八 instantly give a Kawaii look....
abt the blown highlights may be casued by the colour tone after some adjusting.
Thank you for ur comments.

You should go and shoot with some kakis instead of alone.. then, each of you can post and comment on each other's thread.... problem solved.. And, only use words like "very good", "nice".......

Then later, some kind person "might" comment on your pictures and make some negative but constructive remarks.. but usually, the thread will just contain "very good", "nice"......

The description probably worked better for pic 4 & 6. but for 6 it should be full body shot including the feet and not cut off at the legs..

And, for the part of the legs looking quite bad.. it's not referring to the pose.. it's the blown highlights, and the veins making the legs not attractive at all.

There's nothing wrong with the pose, leg pointing in.. it's ok.

maybe it's just personal preferences.. the colour tone doesn't seems nice..

Maybe if you put up the picture w/o the heavy colour manipulation, it might worked better?

add: you might wanna consider using stockings for better effect..
