thanks got this at Cathy today, they had 2 in stock. plenty sharp and fun on 1.6x crop 30d..except the AF motor is noisy...but all is good.

I have one. I bought it from Ebay... almost new. A photographer in the US bought it from B&H, but he decided that the focusing was too slow and the noise was too high for professional purposes. So, he sold it. Got it at a good price, with hood some more.

Anyway, I have nicknamed this lens 'the wasp' because of the sound it makes. I like it a lot. I usually use it at night. It can open up quite wide, and at 35mm, I can handhold it at 1/40 very comfortably.
