Hi CSer,

how much it cost to replace the 350D battery compartment door?
After attaching the Battery Grip, the Battery Compartment Door is lost, :(

can anyone help me?? where to get replacement and how much? or any alternative?

1000 thanks in advance.

u didn't keep the door inside the battery grip?

no idea how much the replacement cost, but best person to answer you will be Canon service center.

ohh! it can be keep inside the grip.
will check it out.
just buy 2nd hand from a fellow CSer

1000 thanks Wai

If I remembered correctly (when I still had my 350D), you can't keep the battery 'door' together with the grip, unlike 20D or EOS 30. The door has to be physically removed before you can slot in the grip. Guess your best bet will be to visit the Canon service centre for a replacement.

You can keep the "door" inside the grip. There is a slot (even with door direction engraved) in the grip for the "door". So my battery "door" is safe and sound in the grip all the time.

for EOS30, the battery door can leave dangling there while u mount the battery grip.

for D30/D60/10D/20D/300D/350D, the battery door got the remove from the camera, and slot it inside the grip for safe keeping

anyway, i dun think anyone will have extra "door" to sell away, do let us know once u find out the price from Canon (just curious to find out, even my camera dont have any battery door) :p

Yes...for the EOS 30, there's a slot in the battery grip when you attach it to the camera so there's no removal whatsoever.

My guess it's $21 incl. GST for these kind of spare parts.
