300D Black in store

(1) What is the difference of the lens ?
(2) Freebies include 512 Utral II Sandisk, and battery. Believe these are from Canon. So, these should be included when buy, say at AP ?

I called MS Color and the person told me that the 18-55mm is not USM.
Can anyone confirm ?

Called AP, they said the lens was the same as grey. But, wondering why the camera kit price is less than grey one? They quote around $1650 w GST.

Anybody can tell the difference between 300D black and grey, other than color difference ?

Visual Difference and Self satisfactory difference, and erm.... more eye soothing? haha!

Basically if u fit a vertical grip to a silver 300D it'll look like some kind of toy.

So it was true .. and it indeed take this long for it to arrive to our shores (minus the USM lens) DARN! ... Was told by CP to my dad who later told me after i bought the camera :cry:

I guess the silver model will forever look like a toy but since i'm a casual shooter i guess it doesn't really matter ...

Well, or you can wait a little while and then call up canon and ask if you can get your silver casing changed.

Price is cheaper than the silver 300D with kid lens.

Free gift from Canon are: one additional OEM battery and a lens book. Does NOT entitle 512 MB Ultra II SanDisk CF card.

Comparing the 300D gray weeks ago at S$1730 w 512 MB Ultra II CF + battery + lens book, black is more expensive. (512 MB Ultra II CF sells around S$160)

Just checked with MS today, was quoted S$1690. Same price for the rebel, however the black series do not come with free 512mb CF
