In absolute terms, our water bills are small compared to electricity... wait till the carbon tax hit us... but then... electricity is also an existential resource that we must be painfully aware of... so is sugar, cooking oil and salt by the way that we don't produce a single crystal of.

When folks come up against miserable subjects, like everything's price going up and up without a complentary rise in wages, folks tend towards humour. That is what OT you are in this thread. It is when people are finally squeezed to hard when it gets really dicey.

Question is because of leaders? Because of people selling water? I hate to be critical of little red dot when my own country is so screwed up but I must say I think leadership is weak...you get screwed because of smoke in air, screwed because of trains buses and transportation, and now they are screwing you with water. Sounds like someone needs to learn some negotiation skills and if that doesn't work then some get it on skills.

So basically it means we the powers that be that own this company are going to tax you this money because we don't want to spend any of our money to build new water plants everywhere and gather up the rest of the water reclamation. Boils down to we want you to pay for it while we will own it and collect the profit from it...the company probably loosely guised in the name of the people.
