Yo Bro,

Thanks for dropping by. :D

We have a dose of luck that morning as the sky stop dripping and gave us some good natural lights just when we start shooting.

Hehee.. hope June isn't too annoyed that I still press the shutter instead of immediately going over to help.. :embrass:

Thanks, glad that you like it.

:)

yo kongo, i think u've done a pretty good job, but so many pics i also dunno how to comment.

generally, i don't like the colours, it's just a personal preference thing i guess, so not a problem.

sorree for not being specific, but you could take note of your compositions. some of the shots could be tighter, and cropped at a better position, most apparently for trillia's first shot.

last but not least, challenge urself to come up with great portraits without needing a sharp model with perfect bokeh-ed background. :)

Hi jOhO,

Thanks for giving tips, will take note of these points!

My pics are those play safe and low difficulty types, becos still not confident whether I've get the basic right.
Will continue to observe how others compose a more complicated pic. :)

BTW, what's the problem you see with the colours? What should I take note of?

did a rough one if you don't mind:

i did a "global edit" on the image, meaning i changed the whole image (not selected areas) mainly with color balance and a little with HSB and curves.

generally there's too much yellow and green in the original that u posted, i upped the contrast too.

Thanks a lot for the illustration jOhO. I can see the diff clearly. :)

I agree with you it could be a matter of personal preference, I usually prefer a lighter tone and milder contrast.

It could be due to my lcd screen, colours will appear burnout pretty fast if I add a lot of contrast. Noticed that high contrast image usually looked better on a crt than a lcd, as I am editing my pics on a lcd screen (contrast range only abt 500:1) I tend to be a bit cautious when doing processing.

very nice and sharp.... care to share what lens you are using?

Hi cheeliang500,

As mentioned in the previous page, the lens used includes 2 Canon primes, 85L & 135L. :)

I like the pict on the right, the low camera angle and the effective use of DOF. I find that this make the picture more active and full of life.

Same as above.
