with these mergers, its normal for a lot of in-fighting. it'll be quite a while before they get over the politics, position jostling, chops and then get down to business. even then the first offers may be half-baked and won't stand up to KM users' expectations. so hang on to your stuff, it may be a while before we see anything worthwhile from Kony.

I didn't see 70-200G SSM there leh, only 80-200mm G HS.

If the Sony R1 can be considered well designed, I am not optimistic at all.

9D - 12MP + fullframe sensor..

There goes your anti-shake - no space left to move the CCD around in. Their current system is taking advantage of the fact that the CCD sensors are smaller than the 35mm film frame the lenes were designed for.
Back to optical stabalization in the lens ?

Presumanly the same person who made up the 9D full frame 'wish' also wants it to be really really 'affordable' and to be a 'canon and nikon killer' as well.
