Serious You got 1st most prob

Maybe I am inexperienced.

Ok Judging(biased):
1st: Every photo was like judged in 20seconds on average
2nd: Some of the judges weren't even paying attention, especially the lady on the right she just lied on the table, even before the photos were finish displaying, she pressed 1.
3rd: The architechure and the normal competition photos weren't judge seperately, so it kinda is biased in a sense that if i had good architecture shots i still couldn't compete because it was all judged by the initial 1st impression of the judges(which some was lousy)

But like i said earlier i may be too inexperience.

BTW they already did preliminary sieving of the 900 entries and took out about 250. (another point)

i saw the room though. realized that the lights were orange? hmmmm.
really wish i was there to see all the pics being judged today ={

saw some of the pics in the earlier pages, wow ill have to say awesome stuff man =)
and nightmare, you the winner? congrats =) 5K?? I say you travel!!

i wonder if there s a certain "style" they looking for. i wonder what are their considerations for visual aesthetics as well.

Though its too late, but i'm sure there are many others out there like me dying to know if their photos went through. So if anyone who went for the judging process, can you tell me if you see the pictures below there?

I'll be so sad if it isn't. But i guess there is always next year for me still.

hmmm. it got to the 2nd round for judging again but didn't got into the top 22. regarding how much points u got, i can't remember.

Come to think about it...25 points for 6 pictures. How does that work out? My maths very jia lat and I cannot divide 25 by 6.

well according to labla just now if i didn't remember wrongly he said it was a sorta "general impression mark" thing.

but i might have misconstrued

i only saw 5 judges? well.. not sure lei. cos there were only 5 positions at the point counter on the right if you are sitting at the audience view.

Yeah, I think that pretty much sums it up. I don't think they would have judged each of the 5000 photos individually. If they did, their eyes might have grown flowers (as the chinese saying, 'yan hua' would say).

Wow, you're awake early. 1030 in Melbourne. Must be only 0830 in Singapore! Haiz. I feel that sting again. When I was there for a vacation not long ago I remember waking up every morning at 0730 and just walking out to a hawker center in the nearby HDB block for my favorite roti prata. That was simply awesome.

Good point there also. Judging by what's been said so far I find it even more surprising that most of the entries were already trashed before the judging day. Perhaps they did it on the spot...receive the prints, look quickly at it. If it's crap, into the trash it goes straight away, then no need to judge so many on the last day.
