I was at the judging and i saw some familiar sets. Anw, i think there're some really strong sets there and it's an eye opener to see some interesting shots. :)

that's a pretty interesting concept, i didn't know they judged photo competitions in that manner. :)

btw, where did you shoot your people at work shot - the one of two workers on the roof?

its at changi beach..above that restaurant :D was a good mix of blues n whites

so when are the final results out? :)

Heheh...the results will be highly anticipated. I wonder who's taken the prizes this time round. If anyone saw the judging process and knows about the shortlisted entries, please share and I'm sure it'd take away a lot of anxiety for most people.

who took the $5k! haha:bsmilie::bsmilie:

Nightmare i think you will win they picked you out for 1st le :) haiz got 13/25 darn :P 2 points away from round 3. I thought that the judging system was screwed. Very messed up judging system. Biased and it was too rushed. But who am i to say :) the competitors this year are good :) I think sprintist got a consolation at least :)

Wow...3 hours and 5000+ photos...so the winners already set? What about the 'shortlisting' and interviews? Imagine sitting in a room under the scrutiny of a panel of judges. I think it was a misfortune to be unable to attend the judging process...can't even find out what 'works' and what doesn't.

nightmare sure can talk, no problem! wahaha :bsmilie::bsmilie:

Serious You got 1st :) most prob :P

Maybe I am inexperienced.

Ok Judging(biased):
1st: Every photo was like judged in 20seconds on average
2nd: Some of the judges weren't even paying attention, especially the lady on the right she just lied on the table, even before the photos were finish displaying, she pressed 1.
3rd: The architechure and the normal competition photos weren't judge seperately, so it kinda is biased in a sense that if i had good architecture shots i still couldn't compete because it was all judged by the initial 1st impression of the judges(which some was lousy)

But like i said earlier :) i may be too inexperience.

BTW they already did preliminary sieving of the 900 entries and took out about 250. (another point)

:nono::nono: that is crap! it might be 5000 pictures but they should consider every participants effort..its not just about 20seconds of exposure.

aiyah but all this is really TOO subjective. but its good a fellow csers win :D

haha.. its quite an eye opening experience watching the judging.
anyway, only 200+ sets of entries were judged today.
Heard that they selected the top 200+ out of 800+ entries to enter this judging round.
