2nd hand cameras ?

there are a couple of shops in Peninsular and adelphi. I got my 40D there, cheaper than what is being sold here and they really let me take my time to test the set with shop's 3 months warranty.

so which means, there are various 2nd hand shops in Peninsular shopping centre ?
and if were to buy 2nd hand, it comes with the lens right ?

its normally body only unless the piece is a consignment and they are helping customer to sell with lens. but they have so many used lens, just drop by and see what they have for sale.

What sense does it make to ask here in the forum whether the cameras offered there have lens (or flash) included? As mentioned earlier: it depends on how the previous owner wants to sell. Some only sell the body (cause that's what they upgrade), some sell body + kit lens, some even sell body + various lenses. So better go down to the shops, have a look and see what is offered. Make notes, compare, go home without purchase and compare again with offers here. Can't be too difficult, right?

about the body and kit thingy, i can't help much... but i guess that most of the people keep their lens as most people will be just upgrading their body (tats why they sell)... but not to worry, canon kit (normal) lens is quite cheap i heard...

Agree, I sometimes see people trying to sell at about $100-200 less than RRP and claimed they are making a loss and you stand to gain...

But in the first place, these shops never sell at RRP....

I would rather pay a bit more to buy from shops for assurance than to get something which condition is not known of...

Of course there are always many brothers selling their gears at reasonable price which is considered great buy...and that's the reason I frequent B&S here....:sweatsm:

That's precisely why i ended up getting my 40D from the used shop.

1. I am in their shop, they are not running off to somewhere else so i can take my time to test
2. I am paying LESS than what is in B&S
3. I get 3 months warranty for the product from the shop which I normally do not get from B&S
4. I can walk back into the shop if i realised something is wrong with the product. B&S, maybe people will not answer you call already

So far in B&S, I have only seen 2 cases over the past few weeks that have sold a 40D lower than what i bought in shop. The rest....i dunno, i rather top up $100 to get a brand new grey set from shop.:bsmilie::bsmilie::bsmilie: What cheeses me off most is when you tell them, ok lah, i buy at BNP, they say oh, someone bid at BNP liao, ask me to raise above BNP...:angry:
