Forget Buy.com. :nono:

Read my previous post regarding the US$1 price difference.

If you buy from Amazon, there's no sales tax so you end up paying US$104. Buy.com is situated in California, so you'll need to add 7% to your purchases because your vPostUSA address makes you look like a resident of California. Buy.com's price was US$96, so with 7% tax comes to approx US$103.

Why give yourself all that grief?

bro u brought the 1GD ultra 2 of 2 GD?? and have the goods reach ur place yet?

Ordered on the 11 Sep and it came in this morning, 23 Sep, so whole order + delivery via Amazon + vPost took 12 days. I think that's pretty good.

Final cost, US$103 + US$11 (vPost) = US$114 = SG$193 (based on www.xe.com 's rate).

I was in SLS and Funan on Sunday and some shops there were asking SG$200+ for a 512. ;(

I ordered an original Lens adapter from Amazon.com
Great price (even when compared to SG oem), and considering that it's out of stock in SG, I decided, "since Vpost USA can do it, why not, after all, I've always had a Vpost account".

So here's how it went:

26 Sept - placed order - sent invoice to Vpost

27 Sept - package ready for delivery - Vpost acknowledges receipt of Invoice

28 Sept - package picked up

29 Sept - package delivered to Vpost USA (confirmed by USPS track and trace) :D

30 Sept - went to Vpost website - nothing.

Called Vpost.

"We will inform you when it's arrived", she said.

"But I know it's arrived. How long will it take for Meridian IQ (the Vpost partner in California) to inform you that it's arrived. I did exactly as instructed and double checked all the forms".

"Usually 1-2 days".

~click~

It's 4th October, 5 days since the package arrived in Vpost USA. Where's my package!

Looking at how it was that I needed the adapter for this weekend (8th Oct.) and they take another 5-7 days to deliver AFTER payment is received, I promptly went to purchase an OEM adapter. Even though it's an eye-sore to use non-matching coloured items with my camera, I guess it's better than nothing.... which is where Vpost has left me!!! :sticktong
