Hi guys

I am looking for some 220 film. Do any of you have spare rolls that I buy off to try it ? I am specifically looking for TXP320 B&W.

Thanks :)

For your request they have invented the expression 'the needle in the haystack'. You might be lucky to find the film at all .. let alone the one you are specifically looking for.

220 film unlike 120 film, do you have a film back accept 220 film in the first place?

a camera which accepts 220 is on it's way to me. The fuji GW690.

I have concerns on loading the film into reels, which most people say will not fit completely on regular reels.

pipo999: the film available on evilbay and freestylephoto for delivery (also B&H and Amazon). But, I don't want to pay such a high premium for something that I need to try out. The propacks are 5 rolls in one, and I just want a single roll to try out. :)

The only place I saw selling 220 in this present day (2008/2009) was in Yodabashi Cameras in Shinjuku and Akihabara.

You might get better luck if you take the time machine... :bsmilie:

Just kidding... never saw any place selling in Singapore yet. Mr Ho from Ruby said they don't bring in at all as the demand is super low.... :)

That was my concern indeed, Singapore is kinda small. Nevertheless I do hope you succeed in getting on. Me and the brady bunch here are looking forward to the results.

The only way is to re-spool the 120fil to 220 spool. That's how i did it for my Hawkie. Just make sure you do it in darkroom. Good luck

Presumptuous to say that the guy doesn't have a 220 back...

Anyway, the spools are the same, just that 220 does not have backing paper.

220 reels are available and should be used.

The spool guard of the 120 is slightly larger than 220. So if your cam doesn't come with the 220 spool, the only way is to trim the edge a bit so can fit into your cam. Or try to check at ruby, happened that i saw they have few of the 220 spool.

And don't forget when you sent to lab for process, ask them to return back to you.

Hi Alucard,
I have some 220 film about 5 rolls each of Tri-X 400, Porta 160VC and Fuji Pro 400 NS ues it in my Mamiya 7 and Hasselblad A24 back. I buy it in the US and Japan. Please be aware this is all about the convenience taking 20 or 24 shots and not about $$.

It sure is not cheap about US$8.5 a roll - are you really sure you want to go there?

I recieved the camera and it's in top condition. :)

8.5 USD = 12.8 SGD. that's pricey for the convinience of shooting 16 shots instead of 8.

Thanks everyone.

We need a MF outing. :)

I think I'll stick to changing rolls. :D
