The dial will take a while to get used to ... perhaps with more 'turning', it'll loosen .... (or that becomes a defect?) ;p I agree with Snoweagle that the 20D & EOS30 dials are more 'finger-friendly.
Cos both main dials on the 20D and 30 are more prominent when turned. The 30D dial feels like 'new plasticky feel' when turned.
