Brazil will not risk injury and push their players too hard since they have already qualified for the next round, regardless whether Kaka is around or not. They might even field reserve players for them to get the chance to run around the field for warm up into the next round of matches... this might prove to help Portugal into the next round too, so everything is possible.

Actually we should say it's Italy's performance not up to par.
Italy can consider themselves lucky if they can proceed to the last 8.
This may be the underdogs' World Cup.
France almost certainly out, England/Germany/Italy all still struggling to proceed to 2nd round.
We should see whether Spain can bounce back after their defeat to Swiss. :devil:

If I am not wrong, based on groupings, S. Korea and N. Korea will only meet if they can reach the semi finals; which will effectively put either one into the Finals.

That would be some scenario.
