wah Ferrari is a disaster again! Seems like SGGP is not a good place for them!

ugly scene just now. official photographer was taking pictures, blocking those behind him outside the barrier. the photographer outside the barrier threw a plastic cup at the official photograher and tell him to move one side so he can shoot. the official one pointed to his own jersey and said he is the official photographer. the outside photograher ask the official one to come over to him at the barrier, presumably to talk or argue with him. the official one just ignore him and continue shooting. i think the outside photographer a bit too much, too many dslr totting pple getting too big for their heads.

where did this happen?

By the way all non official photogs should always respect the official photog - they are FIA accredited photographers. And FIA does not hand out accredition very easily.

So what if the offical block your view? Too bad lar...

PS will start from pole, no thanks to Ruben's crash at the end of Q3.

The kid will start alongside him, with Rosberg in 3rd position. Rubens qualified highest at 5th, so he'll start from 10th place.

I got picture of rubens post crash!

decided to sit at Turn 5 for Qfying, meaning i had no idea of the proceedings. And some helpful strangers pointed out the crash and i ran 200meters with 3kg of camera + bag to take photo.

at turn 13.

Oh well, there are 2 fencings round the circuit. Spectators are to keep behind the 2nd, ie inner fancing. Official photographers, or media can go up to the 1st, or outer fencing.

So whoever photographer, who is supposed to be a spectator anyway, can't complain about being "blocked" by official photographer. They are taking a higher risk, and are paid to do the job.

Wonder how many safety car periods will there be this year?

Great shots, their expressions said it all.

I was at turn 5L last year as a marshal. Only a single incident during one of the support races, at the same spot. Looks like the marshals are more busy this year.

Piquet wasn't around to crash for Alonso wad. :bsmilie:

Pity Rosberg. He was doing well until the drive-through penalty and safety car period.

Now it's a 3-horse race to the championship!

F1 2009 has ended, looking forward to F1 2010.

vettel also got drive through penalty right? that means he should be around 2nd place ah..

After seeing tripods mounted by "amateur" photographers, perhaps the organizers should really consider disallowing them. IMHO, it takes up way too much space (I saw some who essentially occupy on his own what 2 or 3 people could have occupied), and causes inconvenience to others (photographers and non-photographers alike).

Barrichello crashed for Pork Slice wad :bsmilie:

anyway, yesterday's race was as boring as ever. the cars are just going round and round and round without much action. i'm beginning to hate street circuits.

Haa.. Nick Heidfeld and Adrian Sutil crashed right in front of me at Turn 14 last night...

I guess it's not only about street circuits that the cars are just going round and round... Even in some purpose built circuits, there are very little overtakings... FIA brought in the KERS hoping that there will be more overtaking.. but apparently, it did not help much...

Singapore is already much better with so many variables involved... Haa. It seems that safety car is becoming a "standard" happening in Singapore... People are asking how many times the safety car will be deployed instead of whether it will be deployed... But, it adds to the excitement with the safety car... imagine last night without safety car, Hamilton would have lap many cars and the race would have been more boring...

Still waiting for a race in thunderstorm for the Singapore Grand Prix... That would be exciting...

the race would've been red-flag by then. it's dangerous to drive around a street circuit when it is wet. one slight misjudgment and you are into the walls.

but then again, it would be a swell time for the marshals eh? time to see some action instead of standing and watching car whizzing by :bsmilie:
