For the next 2 races? Why Bro? I thought that the engine needs to last 2 races while the gearbox needs to last 4 races?

Thanks, Bro. Enjoyed myself very much. Adrenaline rush... My communicator's heat and mine were thumping when the Safety Car went into the pits. I needed his go-ahead to wave the green flag while my other fellow flag marshals needed to pull in the yellow flag and the 'SC' sign. This co-ordinated move needed practice, and we've executed them on Friday & Saturday. Once the cars crossed the start line, my communicator shouted "Green, green, green..." That was when the actions were carried out. The movements needed to be slick as the cars were thundering down to Turn 1. The green flag needed to be waving before they arrive at Turn 1. AND the DigiFlag's green colour needed to be activated by another flag marshal. All in all, 4 flag marshals were involved in the process. I don't know how the other sector's flag marshal do theirs, but this was how Sector 1 (Turn 1) executed our move. Our sector is important as it is the first flag station after the start line, hence the drivers will be looking for our flag signals.

Alonso picked cow dung! :bsmilie: But he deserved it. Excellent race from him, esp after the 2nd safety car, he really flew away. In just 3 laps, he established a 6sec lead. Happy for Nico and Williams F1 as well for 2nd. At least, its Williams that beat McLaren.

This kind of cow dung, he wish he can pick up more the whole season hahahahahah.......

There is a reason on Williams beat the McLaren on this race.

Second reason is Massa is out of point contention, so a healthy 6 points is good enough. If he pushes the car to the limit on a street circuit which demands a lot from the driver and the car for the additional 2 points is definately not worth it at all......as he may just crash like what happened to Kimi.

anyway, was really disappointed with Ferrari. don't know what they were thinking or doing. sure gonna get loads of flacks from the team bosses.

congrats to Alonso on a lucky win.

at around 1pm, i was at Raffles Hotel changing to my marshal overall. there was a ING party going on there. overheard that Alonso couldn't make it because he is crying in his room because of his screwed qualifying. only Piquet turned up.

so looks like all the cyring turned to smiles eh?

as a Vehicle Recovery Team at Turn 13, i sure had a great time during the race. can't believe my luck when Barrichello's car went dead about 50m after Turn 13.

a bunch of us have to run on track to retrieve his car... and during all the runnings, F1 cars were wheezing by us :bigeyes: :sweat: talk about adrenaline rush... this is sure one way to get them pumping.

we had to push his car against traffic back to the recovery area. when the coast is clear, we pushed. when cars are coming around the corner, we stopped. wah... damn interesting. wondering if all of these were captured on TV.

also, a few of us got to scrutinise the car from every angle. it's really interesting to see and touch a real F1 car.

and you guys saw the goof that Barrichello did? he threw his glove to the crowd and it caught wind and went off the other direction. what a joke... and i was like 15m away nyah. wanted to laugh... but held back.

and i thought live at Turn 13 is gonna be a bore :bsmilie:

BTW, I was the green flag bearer at Turn 1 that re-started the race after the first SC session. My trainer from Australia told me that I have just re-started a F1 race!

Ah! The red flag was placed away from the other flags - to prevent mistakes. Our flag placement was totally different than those taught by CAMS!!!

Marshaling is fun! I will be back next year!
