wat's a focusing rail??

The first insect was shot tripod mounted, the rest were all handheld except for the last two shot which I used a focusing rail. It really helps a lot esp for a high magnification like this.

Caussway:
I'm not really sure where to get a reversing ring. Mine is just an improvised, 2 stepup ring stuck both female ends.

Hi, it was mounted on reverse position. The effect should be more or less equal to +25 multi-elements close-up filter.
 

The setup was interesting, it produce result. I had recommend to quite a number of beginners. Simply marvelous shots produced by the master.
