1st successful vertical/batt grip mod for Dynax 5D

This is a modification done on the vertical grip for Dimage A1/A2. The shape/contour may not fit so well but at least it looks decent.

did you not see the white wire? that's going into the connector for RC-1000.

saw that, I would have thought he can place it nicer and hidden more of the wire inside the grip and left a bit out for the contact with 5D.
But is that a RC-1000? Or he just modify or attach some wire?

That's just something he tried to mod and its successful and sharing with everyone with his work.

With 5D selling so well, I'm sure KM or some third party will come up with a decent grip just like they did for Nikon D70.

D70 3rd party grip is anything but decent .........No half press, intermittent power supply and has a tail hanging out.:thumbsd: :sticktong

he should have just drilled a hole on the side, paint or get black colored wire, den a black gaffer tape to cover the wire... maybe even add in a retractable coil. since no modders would wanna go to damage the D5D... else will even build a port on the bottom of D5D, parallel from the D5D RC socket. den direct fit in... perfect fit...
