Collected mine this morning. Now, there is a black mark on the bracket of battery compartment and setting is in Bulb.

I am still skeptical about sending in my 1Dx as my AF is not affected. For those who have had their lubrication issue fix, is there any difference to the AF? Will appreciate some feedback. Thanks.

Be safe rather than sorry. Sent mine in although no problems seen in AF. mine was low shutter count tho so maybe no efffect yet.

if you use a black marker and color the silver part black, and draw an "A" where it's supposed to be, the problem will not manifest
