the 1dsmk3 is already in SG. yesterday saw a pro picking it up from a shop that i was at. :)

1d mk2 does not have digic III processor. You probably meant 1d mk3?

Anyway, does anyone have a price guide from Japan and Hong Kong?

yes, i've been mistype...i mean 1d mk3.
i heard from my friend, japan market price around Y900,000 until Y1,000,000

santa claus, please put 1 set in my xmas stocking... thank u..

Hmmm I went down to Harvey Norman Funan in the evening to pick up my Ixus 860IS today and I saw the 1Ds MkIII being delivered to them. Out of curiousity I ask the salesman (Bernard and Jason) whether the camera is for sale and they said yes. The retail price is S$12999. To those Canon User out there who can't wait to get their hands on the camera can try calling them to reserve the camera.

Curiously, how much am I looking at if I were to acquire this Canon 1Ds II system with all the following lenses by SIGMA?

> 10 - 20mm
> 18 - 200mm
> 20mm
> 15mm fisheye
> 50mm
> 105mm
> 70-300mm
> 170-500mm

Would appreciate an estimate including a dedicated Canon flash...

With the money u intend to invest into the sigma system, i personally would go for Canon lens. the most sacrifice a bit on the tele end.

Why would you want to use third party options with the top end body?

I agree. For consumer grade lens third party lens do give canon a real tough fight for the same pricing however when it comes to 1Ds MkIII which will require the best out of a lens due to full frame and it 21 mp, best is stick to L series of lenses. :)

get canon L lens and use them on 5D would be better than using Sikma lens on 1DsII i think

hmmm...i wonder how it's gonna be when this 1ds mk3 attach with 200mm/f1.8....

with a top notch body, i would go for professional canon lenses instead of third party ones..

It's already awesome with the 1dmkII and 200mm 1.8

:bsmilie::sweatsm:
it's like buying a top end BMW and put in cheap taiwanese sport rims and tyres ....

but there are ppl who buy top end sport rims and tyres on cheap Protons ..., which is like buying the ef200mm f1.8L with a 400D body ....
