19" LCD Monitor Choice

no point buying a 19" LCD. its only a bigger pixel version of the 17". that's why the price diff is not much compared to 21".

Huh? There is a very big price diff between a 19" and a 20/21" LCD. 19" LCDs are now typically $800-900, 20" starts from at least $1200. Even though 17 and 19" LCDs run the same resolution, some people may find the slightly bigger 19" more comfortable to look at. ymmv.

My office uses the Dell UltraSharp 1704FP. Not too good in analog mode - it's not very sharp. Running it on DVI via my Powerbook 12", it looks much better. Our PCs has no DVI port, so I can't comment on the DVI quality from Windows XP.
