To all going for this yacht shoot.... I have a proposal for you guys....

I am currently doing a project for a client... and we need "boating as a lifestyle type images... If you can, please see if you can shoot some pics to depict the boating lifestyle. Instead of the model as the key component of the picture, try some shots with the boat/yacht as the key component and the models as supporting elements. if your images are selected, we will pay within a budget of $50 -$80 for each pic selected... we only need maybe around 3-8 shots.

P.S - as we need the image asap, we would appreciate if you can send me the low-resolution images by 26th may for my client to select. Do not post the images online. PM me for more info...

BTW, we could go buy from stock libraries but I was thinking maybe this is a opportunity for you guys to make a little money from your passion... I'll rather you guys make the money instead.

Also, as my client would be the final decision maker, please bear in mind that you are willing to do this with no obligation on my client's part. we are not commissioning you guys to shoot the type of images we need but rather we hope it will be a win-win situation for all parties.

What do you guys think of my proposal?

Since the pics are going to be used commercially, don't you think the models should have a say about this? The rates for a photoshoot for personal portfolio and commercial use are different.

Bro, just a correction, it's a paid shoot for models on a yacht, not for personal portfolio, unless I interprete it wrongly.

Also, don't think photographers can do 2 things at a time, shoot commercially with a yacht and enjoy a paid shoot with models. I understand waycool is trying to drive at. I agree with vince123123. Go post at Service Wanted section as a separate thread please.

Thks for understanding my intent... but my idea is not so "confirmed" as to officially post in the "Service Wanted Section". I was hoping to bounce off my idea and see the feedback before I officially get the proposal to my client...

If I have offended anyone, sorry... perhaps it's a bad idea... no worries, will go with my other "normal" routes to get the imgs... Cheers.
