But, if not for KRW, we all will hesitate to savour this great lens n miss the SSS! Can't wait til weekend to put +500 to my shutter counts... It is +1 for me here. :bsmilie:

Hmmm... wondering wat other equipment KRW is going to recommend... I almost fall for the APPLE QUAD G5 and the huge screen... That will cost my arm! Luckily, i'm poor PC fellow.

Hi, r u the one who tested the lens w ur own D70S? I didn't bring my D70 but I got to test my lens on the shop's D200 (which was my first touch). BTW, D200 is $2780 when I asked. The virus is on me but I can't afford to see a SPECIALIST to cure it. Well, not all, at least I got the 18-200 which is, to me, a much better choice!

Lord is cheapest at 1280 incl gst among CP, AP n MS which i got e-quote fr. Lord hv 10 sets... one guy who resereved gave incorrect hp no. so 1 extra set available for last minute shopper. I reserved mine only about a week back after gettin the e-quote and trying to fight the virus since 18-200 was launched, which appearantly, I LOST! Blame/Bless it on KRW!

The lens is the most ex that I bought n NO REGRET! It is from the Land of Smiles - Thailand... Only the zoom is a little not smooth, guess it is new (virgin mah)... :angel:

Now, i need to eat grass w tap water but i got my love with me... :lovegrin:

Yup! It was fast deal... I too. Remember tat u asked for more sets. :bigeyes: Too bad no freebie for us. U cant bargain much w a super-hot lens like tis.

VR is great if u don't bring tripod n hv to shoot in low light (eg dusk scene).

Were you the one who called on Thursday night on holding list for 18-200? Was hanging around Lord's, had wanted to buy THAT lens, but checked with my friend who had already got hold of a copy from another source...if that was you, you were lucky...

got a Kenko Pro300D 1.4 tele instead...

VR can just help up to 4 stops (based on Nikon manual) but tripod is unlimited stop (limited to your camera of course). But prefer VR than lugging the tripod around.

Told them to hold for me till next weekend, ran out of RMs. Should I just grab the stuff, knowing how east stocks here are going????

How's the picture quality? Anyone done any in depth tests yet?

Best package would be a 17-55 + 70-200 (wiping mouth now), but when reality sinks in, no chance for heart to fly.

Who knows...Nikon might introduce a 50-135 DX 2.8 with VR... would be DX equivalent of 70-200 2.8 VR ;p
