To threadstarter: I strongly advise you put a limit on the number of people. 40 people is too many for a sunset shoot? Everyone will be squeezing each other for a space to shoot, not to mention those who are using tripods?

Agree that 40 is a little too much. But from my previous outing experiences, usually full strength is not common, maybe around 70% turnout. However this one may be exceptional. Anyway, splitting group has been suggested by Ringwraith, which is the most feasible way.

I agreed with you. I did not expect so many of you to response.

HortPark and Labrador park shoot outing -- the invitation is now CLOSED. There are too many people on the list.

Invitation to the outing is closed.

For this outing and since we have almost 40 people, we need all going to observe the following:

--split into smaller groups and DO NOT overcrowd a particular shoot location.
--Do not remove or move any plants or insects in the park and do not climb above fence into some area which is designated as "closed" by Npark authority.
--Give others a chance to shoot at the favourite spots. Do not hog the favourite shoot area.

For the new DSLR owners, you are encourage to ask someone around you (Do not be shy) for advise on the settings or preferred settings for the photo shoot.

For experience guys, do share and help the new DSLR owners with the camera setting and provide your advise.

I am hoping the groupings will form by itself and there is no need to designate who goes to which group.

Since the group is big, we will Meet Inside the HortPark area (I will specify the meeting point later) and not outside at the main road.

Most important thing is to enjoy yourself and have fun and make many new friends along the way.

Cheers,
David (97559700)

Ok David, Perhaps you could put the time, manifest list and place officially as the last post?

hmm so whats the confirmed time n venue? =)

Hows bout we split it into 6 Groups. 6 people a group is quite manageable. Add to that, id be better having smaller groups travelling rather than a whole riot of lights. We could prolly meet at the end of it all and chill. Also, was thinking we had it a little earlier? Just to give a little time JIC we run into any ditches. :)

Date: 17th Oct
Time: 3.30pm sharp
Meeting point: HortCentre building entrance.

This is the first building you will see (on your left) as you walk in from the bus stop/bridge area or drive into Hyderbad Road.

I will have the name list with me on that day. We will assign the groups on the spot.

For those who are joining only at Labrador park around 6plus pm, you can call me when you reach there. It should be easy to spot us as we are a big group.

Just to ask, for those of us who are driving where should we park?

Now would be a good time for car pooling, I suggest those willing to share their car list their names and area and which shoots they are attending:

1) Harnam (Mazda 3 / 91835600) - Marine Parade - Attending both shoots from 5pm onwards

2 days moreeee woo hooo! i stay in hougang any car pool? hehe

Just a list of things you may want to consider bringing.

Umbrella
mosquitoe repellant
deoderant
sunglasses
towel
extra clothes
Tripod
Camera
CPL, ND filter, Close up filters
Shutter release
handphone
Money

lame but sometimes we forget stuff.. I know cause it happened to me.. and and for people really interested in shooting the flowers a spray bottle with water inside so that you can add droplets for added effects. =)

I will need one or two volunteers with wide angle lens to shoot our group photo when we assembled together.
