My actual plan is that if we are shooting at Hortpark first then we will park there and after that convoy to Labrador. But seems like they are taking Bus 11 so i might park @ Labrador lor then walk to Hortpark then back again haha. unless for all the drivers you want we can fetch the rest after shoot @ hortpark and convoy to Labrador??? Any Suggestion??

I have same camera as you. You can try my cable remote when I not using.
If your set cannot then my cam and others who uses 500d also cannot:nono::think:

no need remote la.. can use timer on your camera. =)

Draken413o is right.
jekyll69, you can use the 2 second timer delay. If you use a zoom lens, you may even want to enable mirror lock in custom function to prevent further pic shake.

here are details of the car park rate in Hortpark.
Charges:
0700hrs - 2200hrs: $0.02/min
1100hrs - 1700hrs: 1st hour free, subsequently $0.02/min
1900hrs - 2200hrs: $2.00 max

Assuming we are there 3.30 till 6.30pm, your parking at Hortpark is around $2 plus

The distance between Hort and Labrador is about 1.4km approx 3 bus stop distance.:sweat:

For those in Hortpark, we can take a short bus distance (3 stops) and walk the rest into Labrador park itself. But if these guys park in Hortpark, some of you can take a lift from them.

Hey everyone! Am so excited abt this outing as I am seriously needing some help. I recently purchased the Canon 500d, and have read the manual, photography books and mags, fiddled with the aperture and shutter settings, etc, and my pictures are still coming out crappier than my regular canon non-dslr, especially evident in recent trip photos to Angkor Wat in Cambodia. I don't know if one of the settings is off, but it is driving me NUTS! Am looking forward to swapping tips/ info at this meet, and perhaps, some of you who are more experienced might be able to look at my pics and tell me what setting you think might be off?!? because I am stumped. HELP. *scream* Thanks and look forward to meeting you guys there!

Aiyoh.. I am not an experience shooter la.. Same like all of you guys/gals.. I think I'm worst! hahah Errmm.. I think it's not necessary to have but it would be nice to have.. Personally, I've not used one before but would really like to try it out. I think the timings are hard to estimate when new. But you can get those silky smooth sea type of photos. Looks very nice if I might say so myself.

Yes I'm pretty excited to meet all of you!
