Hmmm... was browsing dpreview when i see the Konica Minolta ad. Supposely to be a $150 (US?) rebate vocher for lens in the box. I wonder if the promotion will extend to over here. If it is, maybe i don't need to wait for the kit liao. Anone has any idea?

Mostly unlikely in S'pore.... customers here hardly get good deals like in the US.... competition not so cut throat over here with only half a dozen pro shops...

Was hoping that it's their means to capture those early adopters as kits are not yet available...

Next week? good... hee hee... I need to help friend to shoot his wedding next month.

That's assuming that we can get our hands on it.... where is vader huh? He should know.... hmm..... come to think about it...... interesting that vader has kind of disappeared off the radar...... anyone knows?

I do not know if you guys remember the time when A1 was launched. A1 reached the shelf much much earlier than the showroom. The situation hopefully does not repeat itself.

I've been surfing the KM-SLR-T forum often and those in the US are saying in november. so just keep your fingers cross. :D

KMSLRTF also mentioned US$1599 which is around S$2300 depending on exchange rates. Looks like plus a grip will put the price at around S$2600. And if throw in the 17-35mm Tamron/Minolta digital lens then will up price to about $2800-3000.

TME, where did you get this FX rate.. so good. :bsmilie:

based on UOB FX rate converter I get this..

USD 1,599.00 = SGD 2,639.95

The new 17-35 cost USD599, it should around SGD 950-1000.

If you pricing is true.. I will jump in now!!

Huh sorry..... my mistake.... I remembered the wrong figure.... should be around S$2700.... :embrass:

Get a good lens first with an adequate wide and telephoto.... about 24-85mm (35mm equivalent).... that kind of range is very versatile.... can do lanscape, portrait, street shooting, and can do macro using a telecconvertor.... so that's the range to get first.... later can add the more exotic lens...
