Not like I can bring the big house out for shooting.

I think the shutter speed u use at f1.0 during day time must be wicked as well. 1/10000 ?? :bsmilie:

I heard the 1.2 might do better with flare control compared to the 1.0 ? u got any experience with that ?
Indeed. My 50 f1.2's flare control is a lot better than the my 50 f1.0. Having said so, I wouldn't say the f1.0's flare control is horrible, I'll describe it as unique just like the bokeh it produces.
I'm considering one now. The articulating LCD and built in wireless flash trigger is simply awesome.

Strange enough, there are 2 copies of 50 f1.0 available on FM. If there are people who may be interested. ~US$4k each.
i just saw one sold at a local shop for $3.8k. I had a chance to try it, wicked stuff, but i won't buy it though that one was almost like new. Because due to the age of the lens, i won't know when the lens mechanism will just fail. If it fails, then the repair will be costly as only Japan has the parts to repair this lens.

maybe lugging a CPL or a ND filter may improve..

i dont think i would jump into medium format but i would consider looking at exploring my new FF 5D mkII to see what other lens i want to collect and use.

I'd kill for that lens... Haha, aiyah 10K club very easy to reach one if you're super serious. My brother spent 3000 for our dedicated film scanner, plus his Nikon D3s and my 5D mk2 is well over 10k already.
