You'd better call before going to HK. The 105DC was out of stock there too when I was there a week and a half ago. Only the 135DC is abundance though.

the list price are a rough guide to the pricing of the various lenses in HK. i think u need to pay around S$1.3k+- for a 10.5FE in Singapore, if it is in stock.

Don't think so. The 10.5 FE is around $1080 from TK Foto, but usually come in 1 to 2 pieces only.

For the record, the DC lens has not been discontinued.

If you want one desperately, go and order one from the US and ship it into Singapore.

AFAIK and IIRC, Nikon lens is international warranty. Body is not international warranty.

But I am not 100% sure.

AFAIK warranty is only 1 year for manufacturing defect. Have you ever sent your lens(es) or camera(s) for servicing using 1 year warranty because manufacturing defect? Grey set usually have shop warranty. NSC will still servicing your lens or camera regardless warranty set or grey set. You pay service cost like those lens or camera after 1 year warranty.

The choice is yours. Just my opinion.
