#164 Kinderdijk, South Holland. A good way to enjoy a visit to the iconic windmills of Kinderdijk, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the province of South Holland, would be to rent a bicycle there and cycle through the flat terrain at your leisure pace.
#165 Kinderdijk, South Holland. Not all the windmills at Kinderdijk were in operations at the same time as seen in this sunset shot. Wind was fairly strong and a 0.8s was enough to achieve a nice motion blur on the running mill in the background.
#30 Abisko, Lapland. Everyone in the hostel kitchen got really excited after I looked out the window and told them about the greenish glow in the cloud. Ran out and set up the tripod and cam just in time to capture the Aurora Borealis breaking out from the partly cloudy sky.
We stayed at Abisko Fjallturer Hostel, which is just a short walk from the Abisko Östra train station. The room rate is reasonable and they do have activities that you can sign up as well. Like many hostels, the 'door slamming' here can get on your nerve sometimes though.
I would recommend Lapland Sweden for aurora sighting as the sky inland tends to be more cloudless compared to the coastal Norway, not to mention the lower prices. Having said that, the fjords in Norway are really breathtaking, so don't miss it if you are already in Sweden anyway.
