10 wish list 2011

May 10th ... better late than never to comment in this thread

This year I wish:

1. For the dedication and fortitude to shoot, using only my Nikon RFs, all of the 140 rolls of Legacy Pro 400 I just bought
2. To master judging exposure by eye
3. To hone my composition skills and raise the standard of my images above and beyond the merely mediocre that they are now
4. For a M9 to play with for a bit
5. For a few nice Leica lenses to put on the M9 (35/1.4 ASPH, 50/1.4 ASPH etc.)
6. Ok, I was just kidding about the M9 and Leica glass (mostly )

Ok, not quite 10 wishes but close enough :bsmilie:

Pretty much. The inability to focus variably is a real sticking point when it comes to sharpness.

SIgh... I am regretting my Canon 9000F purchase now... Thinking of a Epson V700 but definitely not this year.

The weakest link in my workflow is scanning. but sadly film related hardware / software is not an area given priority by R&D teams nowadays.

The weakest link in my workflow is scanning. but sadly film related hardware / software is not an area given priority by R&D teams nowadays.

Just get the V700... Ive no regrets over it...

If you really want the superb scanning machine, exchange your M9 with the flextight. But might need to top by a little bit...

My 9000F is doing pretty ok for me... For me, I got the glass merchant to cut me 2 thin pieces of glass to press the film down. I think that actually helps with the sharpness more or less.

2. Study the works of the Masters - Ok, but not enough
3. Learn stand development and experience with difference dev/timings - Sighs...
4. SELL SOME GEARS! - DONE!!!
5. Refrain from POISON! - FAILED!!
6. Hehe.. Fuji X100 - Done, but officially it's a gift to wifey so doesn't count. No intention to get one myself though. Nothing can replace a M. Besides, my GRD3 is a better street PnS camera.

Does it have anti-reflection coating to reduce newton rings? Where did you get it?
