1 lens for travel photography (FX)

If ur idea of mirrorless can b lower than 500 e price of a 50mm f1.4 I do not mind else even my wife s90 can do. But like my quest seek trusty opinion, I do not know how helpful is your reply but appreciate you still do hit the reply btn.

If weight is your concern, FX camera is not the weapon of choice.

And yes, you can get a mirrorless cam with kit lens for around 500 now. A Nikon too. And it can produce decent images.

My travelling companion is always my wife who is very understanding of the time and extent i go to when i take photos during our travels including honeymoon.

(If you can imagine trekking 1.5 hour to photo a waterfall at the foot of the waterfall, have a pinic lunch and trek 1.5 hours back)

In travelling with a spouse, depending on if your spouse is into photography, fiddling with photography equipment can hiccup the pleasure of the trip.

My take is equip yourself in the context where you can pull out the camera, photograph and move on. fiddling with changing lens and stuff too often does not sit well with ladies who are not into photography.

Keep the 24-70 (It costed you a fair bit), find a way to keep it safely during your walk arounds and you can pull it out, photograph, put it back and enjoy the companionship of the spouse more than the camera.

Ya weight n cost b a factor. Cost definitely under 500. I m spending lesser now. My travelling partner is wife. In fact we r taking it as honeymoon. Free n easy. A UD n belt system is all I intend to kit myself.
I guess even 16-35mm f4 cost alot more. Have a sigma fe 16mm. I guess I can live with these two.

Btw to the earlier posting, like I mentioned, I seek opinions, I appreciate all comments. Nonetheless I never have any intent of be sarcastic. Be it mirrorless, be it 4/3, DX or FX, i am just seeking opinion on if 24-70mm still be a good all rounder lens, though heavy.. while I dun intend to go for those UWA landscape but still wish to enjoy landscaping shoots with my wife. 24mm is wide for me.. but the very wide though.

definitely, I can use a S90 which I bought for my wife but I also intend to use my FX for shoot. But rather than getting another mirrorless or new cam, I'm just thinking if I should get a lens.

I do not know why do I need to explain so much for asking such a thread..

and re-emphasizing that I never have any intent of be sarcastic so no idea why is sarcastic comes in to discussion.

Anyway I decided 24-70mm + my sigma FE, the rest just enjoy my trip.

Anyone using carry speed sling :b
I am not using my rapidstrap anymore finding it abit cumersome and I dun trust the tiny metal swivel as single point of support. Now I just came across carry speed strap.
