1/1000s shutter speed a limitation?

cheaper *generally* yes but you can use both m + ltm lenses on m bodies whereas only ltm lenses on ltm bodies so in fact less variety, no?

I'm not saying you shouldn't, but just doesn't quite relate to the topic of 1/1000s and moving from M to LTM body...

Not least, some LTM bodies can only manage 1/125 or slightly faster.

Have to agree with RWC that F8 is the way to go. I think we place too much emphasis on shooting wide open. After attending the Requiem for vietnam war photogs and looking at their pics, you realize that all pics are shot stepped down. As they say, F8 and be there. Shooting this way will result is less out of focus shots. I find this applies to street photography when you have to shoot fast.

In my short journey to shoot film, I have bought a whole load of LTM lenses which are not fast but good for film and also to add to the mood that I am trying to achieve.

Thanks all shifus for hints and tips. I will certainly look into your suggestions.

I was looking at Eric kim n a few other shoot streeter blog..seem like they shoot at f8 and above n as long as shutter speed can reach 1/320 but on RF i think 1/60 shld be more than enough..if u have de time to compose..den shoot at a bigger aperture:)
