and ghost comes with long messy hair covering the face with white dress too!!!!
i dont know, and i don't want to know more about ghost... :p

Ya, fairy comes along with stardust, and ghost comes along with chilly wind. That's how they describe in the novels.

and for magical reason, i can post a reply to you!!! lol
thanks for dropping by...
seriously, i don't "look" like a professional at all... i look like a JC student... :S
and nothing "huge" for our equipment too! normal wide angle lens, a 40d, 400d... nothing much.. and i told the rangers that this is for school project too! heheheh...
but well, as u said, no point arguing with them..is their "territory" after all..
i will just be more cautious next time if i wan to shoot in public... :)
thanks again for the for viewing~

for some strange reasons, suddenly i can see the pictures while in China! must be the fairy!

fabulous work! i love all of them, and the theme was very enchanting too!

was reading the discussion here on the NP no photography thing... i guess it's just commercial shooting they need permits for... the same thing happened in China in some hot spots for shooting event. Once the management just came up and said you guys look professional photographers to me, refused to believe that we are just a bunch of friends... guess arguing with officials would not solve the issue on the spot. but if somehow there's a credible way to tell others that we are not shooting for commercial purpose that may help.

cheers,
emptyform

The reason behind the no photography for other purpose besides nature photographer are...

commercial or advertising unit and/or movie production team, wedding photogs as well will usually damage the nature's environment and at the same time disturb the habitat there.

The nature photographer works differently... very quiet, stealthily without making any sound or noise, no plucking or climbing of branches or stepping on flowers etc. It is easy for those ranger to differentiate. Hence you're out, the costume is already a telltale.

Just curious, was this announced to the public in the NParks materials? Thought there's a whole list of parks where can shoot.
