Im sure canon profits much more from IS in each lens people buy than in the body. IS in the body would be absolutely ideal price wise though.

I never knew that IS actually decreased sharpness when on a tripod. You learn something new everyday!

Nice pictures showing IS on and off. It seems that it really does make a noticable difference under certain situations. Is that worth the increase in price though? thats up to the user!

I came very close to buying the a200 from target when they had it on clearance for $250. Unfortunately when I went to buy it none of the employees could find the last one in stock lol. I got the canon rebel xsi instead though.:)
