Yup, it depends on the lens, not the mount. The Sigma 30mm is a 46mm, while the original SEL18200 is a 67mm. The only downside is not being able to interchange your filters.

Reckon not many Nex-7 users will 'downgrade' to the Nex-6. But for a new purchase, probably the 6 will be a better option

Hope they do. With the NEX-5, they did release some despite coming out with the 5N. Faster AF I hope. :)
